You Don't Have To Spend A Fortune On Entertainment

Welcome to my blog. My name is John Maxwell. During the great recession, a lot of my friends found themselves struggling to pay the bills. The idea of spending money on entertainment became unthinkable. But there was a serious consequence to this. My friends saw less of each other. As a result, I went journey to find the most inexpensive or free ways of entertaining friends while still having a great time. Even though the great recession has long since passed, I believe that much of what I learned can still be useful. You can never save enough money on entertainment.

Kid Party Fun: How To Throw The Biggest Bash With The Most Fun Stuff

Kids and parties; tough to plan, but the parties are always fun. If you want to throw a mind-blowing birthday bash for your seven-year-old, you need the "basics," plus the "big stuff." The following items cannot be left out of the party if you expect it to be successful.

Moon Bounce

Moon bounces for rent are always fun, no matter how old you get. Drop this energy-burning bit of fun in a safe corner  of the backyard. When the kids get too wound up from cake and ice cream, send them to bounce.

Balloon Animals

Hire a professional balloonist. He/she should be able to create dozens of animals, flowers, crazy balloon hats, and more for the kids (and parents) to enjoy. With the exception of any kid with a latex allergy (and you should check this in advance!), who does not like balloons twisted into fun shapes? The process alone is entertaining to the kids.

Pony Rides

Yes, you can rent ponies and a pony handler for your party. Kids take turns riding the pony as it is led around the yard. To make things really fair, give each kid one or two ride tickets to use during the party.

Face Painting

Face painting is another popular party attraction with the kids. There are professional face painters, too, that do some really extraordinary work. Hire one to provide each child with whatever they want painted on their little faces.

Party Games

A rousing good party needs games. Create or construct at least five party games that the kids can take turns playing for prizes. Make sure you have enough prizes too so that the kids do not fight or go home empty-handed.

Pinata

It is not a party without a pinata. Thankfully, a pinata does not have to be anything fancy so long as it is filled with treats and goodies. You can even make your own pinata at home with a balloon, strips of newspaper, and flour paste.

Rent, Buy, DIY

Some of these party entertainment items you can rent. Others you can buy, like the party games. The professionals, such as the balloonist, face painter, magician, etc., you will need to hire. You can also DIY a lot of stuff, including party games and the pinata. Keep your eyes out for other party items with which to entertain and amuse the children. There is always more to rent, buy, or DIY.
